Laser Resurfacing with the Erbium Yag
What is it?
The Erbium Yag laser is used to treat superficial wrinkles and sun damanged skin. The treatment is gentle and safe with little downtime. Treatment areas include the neck, chest, face and hands.
The Treatment
Topical anesthetic is applied 45 minutes prior to treatment to help with any discomfort. The procedure itself takes approximately 30 minutes. Redness may last for several hours to a few days, but should not be severe. To avoid any unwanted skin discoloration after treatment you should avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily for at least 6 weeks. Several treatments (3-5) are recommended every 2-4 weeks. Skin improvements are most noticeable after a series of treatments.
